Clay County Rotary Clubs Join Forces Again with the Rosani Project to Expand Impact!
With the Rotary Club of Fleming Island leading the way, members from the Rotary Club of Orange Park, Orange Park Sunrise, and Green Cove Springs joined together with community volunteers. This year also marked the first time Rosani Lens Project board member and licensed optician Lisa Payne participated in the mission.
During this year’s visit to Freeport, Bahamas, organizers took the initiative to a new level by expanding it to West Grand Bahama. In total, 422 custom prescription eyeglasses, over 500 reading glasses, and 150 pairs of sunglasses were distributed throughout the week. Many recipients of the glasses say they can now read road signs and their Bibles.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Rotary Club of Grand Bahama and the Rotary Club of Freeport for helping make this impactful effort possible.
The Rosani Lens Project is a nonprofit organization founded in 2019 and has since provided eyeglasses to thousands of people across 21 countries and five continents.
